Based in the desolate prairies of North Dakota, Knifesmoke is creating ambient soundscapes that would be perfectly at home in a horror movie or a (slightly demented) yoga studio.  Think the churning guitars of Sunn-O meets piano and strings tension of Olafur Arnalds.
